The Suleman Octuplet issue is not a family issue. It is a world social issue.
In my opinion it is mind boggling to comprehend how individuals can not understand that world over-population is the most serious problem facing survival on earth. More astonishing is that there are no firm national and state laws that restrict the medical community to prevent unnecessary vitro fertilizations.
Like no other time in the history of man-kind, survival of the society is far more important than individual rights. Humans do not have the right to cause damage or hardship on other citizens or to the society. A person is failing to reason if he or she can not realize that today the world is overpopulated and that a child unnecessarily dies every 3 seconds because of hunger, poverty, and easily preventable diseases and illnesses.
It won’t happen in the next few years, but at some point in time drastic changes must be implemented. The survival of life on earth depends on curtailing population growth. This will likely require laws that limit the size of families to one child, which may result in sterilization.
Individuals that have large families unfairly add to over population and misery on earth. Doctors that aid in over population are also guilty of increasing misery on earth.
There is no religious need to populate the earth. Earth is already overpopulated. God expects and demands that humans care for all humans on earth…that is why He gave humans a very special brain.
I am a Christian who feels that Christians have a responsibility to help all humans on earth. I enjoy addressing controversial areas that aid in this goal.
